Barbara Wyatt, FASLA, offers rich perspectives and technical knowledge of historic preservation from her 40+ years working in local, state and federal programs. At the National Park Service she led cultural landscape efforts for the National Register of Historic Places and the National Historic Landmarks Program, as well as projects related to Asian American and Pacific Islander history. Notable contributions include editing the publication Japanese Americans in World War II and assisting the editor of the Asian American/Pacific Islander NHL Theme Study. Retired in 2021, Barbara's work continues to encourage landscape architects to thoughtfully integrate preservation into practice.
