Matt has more than 25 years of experience as a coastal and environmental engineer, focusing on evaluating coastal conditions and developing sustainable approaches and designs to ensure stability of shorelines, coastal infrastructure, and natural resources. He has developed multidimensional models of the Great Lakes and modeled hurricane storm surges for bays and estuaries along the Atlantic Coast and the Gulf of Mexico. Matt’s expertise includes hydraulics and hydrodynamics, living shoreline designs, beneficial use of dredged material, and hurricane surge and wave modeling. He has created many successful shoreline erosion and protection designs for waterfront and restoration projects.
