Craig is the Roan Distinguished Professor of Practice in the Department of Landscape Architecture within the College of Architecture and Planning at Ball State University (Muncie, IN). His teaching focus is on design studios and graphic communication classes with an emphasis on drawing and watercolor sketching. Prior to joining Ball State in 2019, he worked for over thirty years as a licensed landscape architect, primarily in the Chicago region. He has also taught watercolor rendering and architectural drawing courses as a guest lecturer at several universities and on-line for the ICAA Chicago-Midwest and Rocky Mountain chapters.
