Brenda Sanchez, FAIA, a Senior Architect and Senior Design Manager for the Smithsonian Institution has practiced Architecture for over 30 years leading high-profile projects in planning, architecture, and facilities management - most recently for the National Museum of African American History and Culture. She currently heads the design for revitalization of the Smithsonian Castle and sits on the Board of the nascent Museum of the Peace Corps Experience. Before joining the Smithsonian, she worked as Project Manager for American University, was sole proprietor of Brenda Sanchez Architects and served as Project Architect for local award-winning and nationally recognized architectural firms.
