Sara Hadavi is Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture in the College of Arts & Architecture at Penn State University. She earned her MLA from the University of Illinois (UIUC) and her PhD in Landscape Architecture from the University of Michigan. Sara is interested in translational design of everyday urban landscapes through interdisciplinary work, linking environmental psychology, planning, and design. She explores people's needs and preferences that can be addressed through planning/design to create restorative environments, green infrastructure and neighborhood satisfaction, as well as vacant lot greening and its spatial/social outcomes that impact visual quality and safety in disinvested areas.
