Melissa Westbrook is the Urban Forester at the Capital Grounds & Arboretum, In her role, Melissa manages arboretum programs, including urban forestry operations, curation of living collections. And plant records. Joining the Capital Grounds & Arboretum, Architect of the Capitol in 2018, she previously worked as a horticulturist with the National Park Service, National Capital Region. As an ISA Certified Arborist, Melissa is interested on historic tree and landscape preservation, plant conservations, creating more productive, healthy, and resilient urban ecosystems.
