Don Francisco is a New Orleans native, served in the US Army graduating from the Armed Forces School of Music. He pursued individualized studies in Music, Education, Public Relations and American History before retiring from The US Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.
He’s a History Interpreter & Resident Fifer at Mount Vernon presenting the importance of music in the American Revolution and information about the Enslaved Community history on the estate. He’s performed at The White House, Capitol, and in six Presidential Inaugurations. He volunteers at The National Museum of the US Army and performs at local schools.
