Dr. Stephanie Hurley (ASLA), an Associate Professor of Ecological Landscape Design at the University of Vermont (UVM), holds an MLA from the University of Washington and a Doctorate in Design (DDes) from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Her research examines green infrastructure equity across cities; soil media design for bioretention; and visualizing GSI implementation in rural municipalities. Hurley has co-chaired the Diversity Committee of UVM's Gund Institute for Environment. She is advises Vermont and Minnesota State Green Infrastructure projects. Her design consulting work includes stormwater installations for a lake aquarium interpretive center, and commercial, campus and residential sites.
