Hyeyoung Choi, a professional landscape architect with 17 years of international design and planning experience, transitioned to academia in 2017 from designer roles at AECOM and West8 New York and continues to teach at Sungkyunkwan University in Korea. Highlights of her career include leading a team to win the international Yongsan Park Project competition in 2012, establishing Korea's first national urban park. She has played a key role in Yongsan Park's development, focusing on design, planning, and public engagement. She hold an MLA degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate from Seoul National University.
