Ali C Höcek is a NYC architect in private practice and adjunct professor at the Spitzer School of Architecture. With Walcavage, he is a co-founder of CARRRE, a collective of architects, academics, and landscape architects formed in response to the 2023 earthquakes in Turkey. Höcek recently returned from the affected regions in Turkey where he consulted with municipalities, professionals, academics, NGOs, and residents. Locally, his work includes a community restaurant and teaching kitchen in Brownsville, Brooklyn which partners with a nearby public garden (soon to host a Höcek-designed educational pavilion focusing on healthy foods and urban agriculture).
