Myungjin Shin, PhD is a research fellow at the Environmental Planning Institute, Seoul National University working on regional landscape tourism strategy and aesthetic experience of urban landscapes. She also lectures on the theory and the history of landscape architecture and cultural tourism at universities in the greater Seoul region. After studying art history at New York University, she received an MLA and PhD from Seoul National University focusing on Landscape philosophy, particularly the issue of landscape authenticity in post-industrial cities. Dr. Shin is a recipient of 2023 Honorary Award for Landscape Professionals.
