Associate Architectural Designer
Gallaudet University
I am a Deaf architectural designer who lives in two worlds - - the hearing world and the Deaf world. What I am referring to is that I am Deaf and wear a cochlear implant to help me navigate in our built environment. My implant allows me to communicate using my listening and speech skills. Deaf individuals like me struggle with physical barriers to visual communication and orientation.
I graduated from a five-year professional architecture program at the University of Oregon in June 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.ARCH).
