Beth Elliott, PLA, ASLA, is a Planner with Fairfax County’s Department of Planning & Development, Urban Centers Section. Since 2020, she has been involved in the review of projects from the conceptual stage through site plan from a land use and urban design perspective, along monitoring implementation efforts; primarily focusing on transit-oriented development along the Silver Line. Since starting at Fairfax County in 2016, she has been involved in major comprehensive plan amendments, drafting urban design guidelines and interim activation efforts. Throughout, she has focused on the public realm - defining the desired character, emphasizing accessibility, and balancing competing priorities.
