CHIP SULLIVAN, FASLA, FAAR, FCELA, is Professor of Landscape Architecture at University of California Berkeley. He is author of many titles in the field of environmental design such as Drawing the Landscape, Garden and Climate, and the Illustrated History of Landscape Design (co-authored with Elizabeth Boults). Chip’s book, Cartooning the Landscape, was awarded the JB Jackson prize. His latest works include Wisdom of Place: A Guide to Recovering the Sacred Origins of Landscape (co-authored with Elizabeth Boults), and Field Sketching for Environmental Designers, which evolved in part from these past field sketching sessions.
