Philip Evich is a horticulturist for Smithsonian Gardens. He manages the south landscape along Madison Drive at the National Museum of Natural History. His work focuses on native plant conservation, most notably on the orchids of Washington, DC. Philip has a degree in Horticulture from the University of Maryland and has previously worked in horticulture therapy in Hawai'i, and as the gardener of City Hall Park in lower Manhattan. Philip is committed to public horticulture and the intersection of education and collaboration at the museum level.
